Designer of The Year Award 2017

No rule, no preconceived ideas, no prejudice.

In September 2017, MAISON & OBJET PARIS recognised the talent of interior architect and designer Tristan Auer, a man associated with elegance and French style all around the world.

Tristan has trained with the greatest names in interior and product design (Christian Liaigre and Philippe Starck), and has developed his own bold and avant guard style of bespoke luxury creations since establishing his own firm, Izeu, in 2002.

Driven by his passion for vintage cars and road trips, he has completed a wide number of projects worldwide, and transformed and renovating exclusive hotels, including Les Bains and the Hotel de Crillon in Paris, and private residences in Paris, New York and London, & the Island of Mustique.

He has worked with Cartier, and collaborated with many design brands such as Pouenat, Contardi, Taillardat, & Christophe Delcourt.

Tristan is all about listening to his customers, noting their lifestyles, and designing an outstanding environment for each project, an interior that sparks emotion and resembles its users – as opposed to reproducing one successful recipe. No rule, no preconceived ideas, no prejudice.
